I had the absolute pleasure meeting Dr. Aneesah Nadir who is a pillar of positive change within the Muslim Community in Arizona. Dr. Aneesah Nadir is a retired Arizona State University social work professor and has taught at several other institutions.

Social Work Experience
Dr. Nadir has over 40 years of experience as a social worker and continues to mentor social work students. As well as, provides diversity and inclusion training, program development, and serves as a speaker on the subject.
Founder of Islamic Services Association
She is also the President and co-founder of the Islamic Social Services Association-USA (ISSA-USA), a national nonprofit that provides mental health education and advocacy. Dr. Nadir coordinates ISSA-USA’s Sakinah Healthy Marriage Initiative and provides premarital education programs through the Before the Nikah Institute.
